The student coordinator’s acts as the middle ground between the student teams and the administration team. Their responsibilities include enabling networking among students from different colleges, organising student meetings and collecting required documents from the students with the help of the Team Heads.
They carry out the administrative duties at the Mugavari office. This gives them an opportunity to learn and enhance their leadership skills, while studying simultaneously.
This team aims to sensitize students and hopes to instill within them qualities such as team spirit. The team is targeted towards the medical students of the foundation.
We think of Mugavari as a large family. In order to strengthen this bond and for the students to get to know each other better, this teams organizes meeting and events to enable to students to socialize.
Student agency signifies that every student recognizes needs of fellow students, plans support measures, and monitors impact, with the purposeful outcome of growing an organization, community and nation. It is basically the the quality of engagement of students with their environment.
In other words, Student agency is an atmosphere created within Mugavari, where it gives students voice and often, choice, in how they learn, driven by their own interests with appropriate guidance and internalizing self-efficacy.
Students in Mugavari experience the sense of agency at the individual level, team level and the collective level, making their contribution to their self-development as wells as organisation’s growth aiding in co-construction.
Hence Mugavari students believe their actions can make a difference, they become more confident, engaged, effective learners as well as active citizens in this democratic society.
